Sketching from Life • Summer Art Camp

Location: Rebecca’s home in Horseheads, NY 14845 (address given after registration)
Class A (ages 13-18) : 9:30am - 10:30am (6 spots available)
Class B (ages 9-12): 11am - 12pm (6 spots available)
The foundation to all representational art in any medium is the skill of accurately drawing what we see. In this set of classes, Rebecca will demonstrate and teach tips for observing and drawing objects from life. Students will begin to draw challenging subjects with more confidence and accuracy with timed loose sketches and longer, more relaxed drawing sessions. As always there will be time for art related games and observation of impressive artwork by other artists.
Supplies needed:
#2 Pencil
White Eraser: White erasers work best and won’t stain your paper. Can also be found with pencils at the arts stores. Example erasers on Amazon
Sketchbook: 8×10 or larger
Classes will take place at my home in Horseheads New York and I will send you the full address after you’ve registered.
If your child misses a class, during the following class, I will give them any handouts that were given and catch them up on the concepts they missed. Refunds are not given for missed classes.
