Wherever you are in your art journey (beginner or advanced), I will help you take your next steps in painting in oil. I will have a still life or image prepared for us to paint together, give a demonstration if needed and we will spend time painting while I give guidance throughout class.
Beginning students will enjoy a try-it-out style session with a step by step process as you follow my lead. You will learn tips about drawing, color mixing and get familiar with your materials. The goal of this first class will be to experience how oil painting works and see if you’d like to continue with more classes. You will have a completed painting by the end of the session.
If you would like to take more classes after your first, I will set up more training for a long-term journey with oil painting while pursuing subjects that interest you (landscape, florals, still life, etc.).
Artists already familiar with oils can request certain subjects or challenges that they’d like focused help with.

What is included: Rebecca will provide easel, palette and poppy seed oil medium.
Supplies Add-on: for $40 (per person/per session), Rebecca will take care of all additional supplies: paint, brushes and canvas with all setup and time cleaning brushes, etc.
Location: Classes will take place at Rebecca’s home classroom in Horseheads New York. Full address will be sent after your session is booked.
Cancellations and Rescheduling: Please give 24 hours notice. Rescheduling is not a problem as long as Rebecca hasn’t already spent the time converting the room for oil painting class - a setup fee may be charged for last minute changes as it takes 2 to 3 hours for setup. Cancellations and refunds will be given for very special circumstances.
