Irises are so delicately adorned with frills and surprising colors. I’m intrigued by their design having three petals splayed out in a lovely design and then three more petals covering their innermost parts almost in modesty. This painting is from my earlier years when I was experimenting with oil washes. I’ve decided to keep her but also wanted to share for others to enjoy.
