In my last blog we started looking at the verses of Psalm 95:4-5 and I’d like to continue the encouragement by looking at the rest of these verses.
“In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.”
Psalm 95:4-5
It’s a pulled back look at the large areas of the earth. The deep, the sea, the land. When I’ve got my tunnel vision going, so narrowly focused on the tasks or issues in front of me, I need this reminder that there’s this massively large planet I’m on, and GOD MADE IT ALL. Why am I so flustered about this or that? Shrink that problem back down to size and look at what He has already done. Did his powers decrease so that He is unable today? NOPE! Does he still have power over death? YES! Does He still command all of the systems on earth? YES!
I think of the vastness of His creation. The ferocious strength of the sun is deadly to us but a small thing to Him. A mountain could take days for us to travel over, but only an instant for Him to form. He knows every inch of the ocean depths that mankind has never seen. He effortlessly formed all the beauty on land. In Job we are told that what we can observe that already blows our minds are only the mere edges of His ways, that this is only a fraction of who He is.
Nothing, NOTHING is impossible for the Lord.
May you walk in that truth this week.
