Welcome Spring

My husband surprised me for my birthday and took me on an amazing trip to NYC for the weekend. We sampled Carlo’s Bakery, visited St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, the U.N., toured the Met, ate amazing food, and ended on Broadway for a grand finale performance of Les Miserables. Enjoy more pictures of our trip on the blog.

Our Latest Adventures

During spring break, my son and I enjoyed a week of activities at the Rockwell Museum. Crafts, art hunts, and sketching demonstrations occupied our days. It was the perfect thing for this artsy Mommy to enjoy with my boy.

Since then, we have been getting outside when it’s warm. Sidewalk chalk, playing in the dirt and riding his new bicycle will be his life when summer comes.

I was a freshman music major in college. One day after strolling through an art exhibit in our building, I was so inspired to create something that I went straight to the campus store and purchased colored pencils, paper, and two greeting cards for image references.

For the next couple of days  I lost myself in drawing. When it was completed, at the nudging of some friends, I sent the drawing to the teachers in the art department and asked them if there was any glimmer of hope for me. They said that if I worked hard I could do well in the art department.

The following semester, with the blessing of my parents, I changed my major from Voice to Commercial Art and truly never looked back. I continued on to earn an MA degree in Commercial Art. It was a wonderful, life-altering change of plans.

Harpist & Graphic Designer

I’ve played the piano since I was five and started taking harp lessons in high school. These skills coupled with my graphic design training helped land me a job creating magazine ads for Camac Harps, a harp manufacturer conveniently located in Paris and Mouzeil, France. I have traveled to France twice to photograph their harps to later turn those photographs into advertisements.

Daughter of the King

The One who spoke the universe and all of its wonders into existence is my Savior and Lord. He is the great Artisan and I look to Him every time I paint because I know that without Him I can do nothing.

His presence comforts me during the darkest nights. His unconditional love supports me when I hurt. His promises give me hope when I can’t see my way through.

If you would like to know more about the beautiful person of Christ and how He can bring true peace into your life, please contact me.
